Getting Ready for Emmi

As you can see the Emerson Paige Baby-Gear Inspection Chief is on the job! Mason has appointed himself as the head of the inspection team and has already approved the crib, the bouncy seat and as you can tell, the car seat got rave reviews as well!

According to the calendar, we have exactly 3 weeks to go before we see our little girl...but we have a sneaking suspicion that Emmi may come sooner than expected. We're making weekly trips to the Dr at this point and we're seeing some progress being made!!

Momma has gained a healthy 20lbs at this point, and as far as we're all concerned...that's enough all ready! It's hard to walk, hard to sleep, hard to get up out of bed. Let's just say, Momma is ready. Though it may be hard to end the days of guilt free ice cream cones, cupcakes and cheese doodles!!!

Earlier this week Mason hit the 20 month mark. Yep, he's been walking now for half of his life. Doesn't seem possible. He's still up on his toes for the most part and even though the orthopedic doc said not to worry until he's 3, we're still a bit concerned that it may be more of a problem than they led us to believe at first. We'll see how he does over the next few months and may have him re-evaluated.
He decided to ditch the frog completely for this months photos (you can just see his foot on the far right of the picture...tossed out like yesterday's news!) - I guess that's more of Momma's thing, not his. Ben managed to pose with a giant stuffed bear every month for 3 years, but Mason seems to be over it.
Though not as proficient as his big brother with his language skills, he is starting to use some two word phrases. Big Truck, Uh-oh Momma, I Know, etc...and just this week he learned how to say Emmi, so he'll be able to properly greet his sister upon her arrival. Favorite passtimes include coloring with markers, watching The Wiggles and Barney, and rocks. Boy does he love rocks! Great for gathering, loading into buckets and trucks, throwing or just holding while he rides in the wagon. Such a boy.
