A bit on our Emmi Girl

As Mason has been dominating the spotlight lately, I thought it was time to give Emmi a moment! As you can see, she's doing great! She had her first taste of cereal earlier this week - not much in her belly but plenty all around her face and on the bib. The good news is that even though she isn't really eating much, she doesn't seem to mind the experience either.

She's been doing such a great job trying to sit up on her own and holding her head up for longer and longer periods of time so we gave her a test run in the Bumbo seat - She loved it! However, we incorrectly assumed that this position might also help her Reflux...Nope! in fact it had just the opposite effect! So even though it's a bit messy...she really seems to enjoy it!

We also wanted to show off Emmi's newest hat ~ Made for her by Heather Peterson Sawin who's been a friend of mine since early childhood. Talk about cute!! She was the fashionista of the library last week at story time!

Emmi's newest fascination is toys...finally able to hold onto things really well and give 'em a good shake - her favorite toy, by far is Lola the Poodle that Uncle Jeff and Aunt Heather gave her for Christmas. She lights up as soon as she sees it!
