After going in to see the Dr on Monday the 6th, 2 days past the due date, the Doctor thought it would be in everyone's best interest to schedule an induction for the next day. We headed into the hospital for an 8:30 appt, and never actually started the induction until 2:10...go figure. But once things were underway, Emerson decided to move right along...less than 4 hours and 2 pushes later, she was out.
Mason had spent the day with Mammie & Schoeder and was anxious to see his little sister - he was in the hospital before she was even 2 hours old. So far so good with the 2 of them. He loves her and has been very good and gentle with her. Mommy & Daddy are getting a bit of attitude in some other areas but I guess that's to be expeted.
Ben was able to come in after the service for his Grandmother Rautenberg on Wednesday - and we're pleased to say, he too is adjusting very well - no attitude at all!! LOL - actually, he's been a big help to us all week since we've been home...laundry, dishes, and helping to keep Mason entertained. He'll be headed back to school tomorrow (Tuesday).
Our first night home with Emmi Paige was a long one, but since then she's been doing great! She even slept 5 hours in a row last night for us, and Mason slept all night too...So that was like a dream!
We are all so pleased to have our family complete. She is truly a blessing for us...it was a long hard road to get to this place, but worth all the effort, pain and heartache. Our hearts are full and we can't ask for more than that.
