18 Months old!!

I know we've gotten behind a bit...again, but we're back!
Mason turned 18 months old last Friday and had his well child check today. He did manage to gain some weight and grow a bit since his 15 month visit, but not enough to stay on his growth curve. He gained about a half pound and got an inch taller. So in the weight category he dropped from his all time high of being in the 44th percentile down to the 36th, and in height he grew to 33", dropping him from the 77th to the 71st %. There's nothing to worry about though, the Dr was still very pleased!
He continues to walk on his toes so they'll keep a close eye on that over the next 18 months and see how he progresses. As for his language skills (which are coming along) the Dr said that "a child as focused as he is on gross motor skills, may not have the time to focus on words right now"...We think that was a polite way to say...Holy Crap! Does he EVER sit still? - Ha ha!!

He has some new tricks in his repertoire, he's learned to get out of his crib...and his favorite new trick is going behind the couch, climbing onto the baseboard, then up to the window sill so he can catapult himself over the couch!! Loves that!

Mason had a trip/fall episode on Friday night and we wondered if he had a leg fracture...the Dr has seen him twice now for that, and today he's MUCH better so we're not going to do anything at this point...just wait and see. If his limp comes back, he'll need an X-Ray (gee, that should be fun...NOT)

In other news - Martha and George finally tied the knot! Yes indeed...July 3rd they said their I Do's and made it official. We're so, so happy for them both! So if you see them around, don't hesitate to ask them to show off their new rings....rumor has it they get polished up every day!!

As for the rest of us...Ben has been hard at work as a painter this summer, and we must say, all the white in hair makes him look quite distinquished!! He goes back to school on August 13th so his days with us are numbered at this point. I know one little boy that is going to be REALLY sad on that day!
Jay is working hard too - the stock market doesn't make it easy to get up and go to work everyday, but he's trying to keep all of his clients happy and wealthy!!
As for me, I've got just under 12 weeks to go as we await the arrival of our little girl. I've gained 9 lbs to date...but at times it feels more like 39! Ugh...The baby seems to be doing really well - we have an ultrasound set for the 29th as I've been having a lot of contractions already and they want to have a look and see what's going on in there. So we're hoping for some nice 3D pics of her from that peek inside! We'll certainly post if the pics are worthy!!

Stay well everyone - Enjoy the summer!
