A month...already?

Seems like we waited forever for Miss Emmi to arrive, and now she's already a month old! We're glad to say that we're all adjusting well to our newest family member and it seems she's adjusting well to us. She's been doing a great job sleeping, both at nap time and over night. We put her down around 10PM and generally don't hear from her until at least 4 or 4:30, then she's back down until about 7! Not a bad schedule for a baby of less than 5 weeks. We're beginning to see a bit of her personality with little smiles and coos, or as Mason say's her "goo-goo ga-ga's"

Both kiddos had a great Halloween...Jay and Mason went out trick-or-treating with some of the neighborhood kids and though he had no interest in the candy, he loved going door to door and seeing all the kids. We also took him over to Mammie's and were a bit concerned about how he might react to her "outfit" but he had no issue seeing Mammie bedecked in black clothing and green face make-up. Must look somehow normal to him!!

Not sure if everyone is aware of this but Cape Elizabeth has a "Swap Shop" at the Transfer Station (aka: Dump) a place where town residents can drop off good quality used items and other residents can take them away. You never know what you might find there - they have it all from books to bakeware, fishing poles to furniture. Well today was Mason's lucky day!! We all managed to get out of the house before 8:30 this morning and planned a quick trip to the dump before heading to the Freaky Bean for a relaxing cup of coffee (yeah, right)...As we drove past the Swap Shop we saw a little girl moving around a Little Tykes Cozy Coupe....I was bummed, and told Jay we arrived about 2 mins too late to capture that amazing find. We continued with our recylcling and trash disposal and drove back around to the Swap Shop and what to our wondering eyes did appear? That's right, the Cozy Coupe parked neaty in the corner - apparently the girl was dropping it off, not picking it up!!! It was kinda dirty, and a few pine needles in the cracks and crevices but....Yeah Us!! So here is a picture of Mason and I giving it a nice wash...What a day, what a day!!
